Excellent as always

I have been to Golf's many times and am always impressed. Maybe the decor is slightly outdated but I think it feels really classy and fits with the building. The ribs were very tender, meaty, and I love their tangy barbecue sauce. Country cut fries were AWESOME. They have the best salad in the city. I did not like the soup of the day, but it was vegetable and I'm not really a vegetable guy, it was good for what it was. Prices are reasonable for the service you recieve, and I love the complimentary pop refills. It sounds silly, but so many places are charging for every little glass of pop now. Golf's is a Kitchener institution and the position overlooking the grand tops it all off.

This restaurant needs to be updated badly! Not only did the "salad bar" only feature iceburg lettuce, the choice was brutal. The Vegetarian Lasagna was quite good. The food is ok but the decor & atmosphere is something out of 1986.

We went for a beat-the-crowds Valentine's dinner. We were seated right away and the waitress was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful; my medium-rare steak was done to perfection. My boyfriend's sole excellent. The salad bar is nothing special, but considering you get soup, salad and the main for a decent price, it did not diminish from the meal. We were too full for dessert, but maybe next time. We'll definitely go again.

Being on a diet, I really, really appreciate I...

Being on a diet, I really, really appreciate I can have an excellent dinner without straying from my plan. Even though the place was packed, I asked if it was possible to have no seasoning on the steak and have the bacon removed - no problem whatsoever! With a couple diet drinks, my evening was complete. We frequent here a lot because I am assured of an excellent meal each and every time! Quite frankly, the people who wrote really negative comments about Golf's are probably people who can never be pleased, no matter what......choose to have a happy experience and guess what? You just might!
